Despised Icon are back together for three shows in Germany

So, this is pretty random,  I guess, but according to Alex Erian (Obey the Brave)'s facebook page, his former band Despised Icon - widely considered one of the best deathcore bands ever, even by those who dislike the genre - have temporarily reformed.

The newly reunited band is slated to play three shows in Germany - among them the famous Impericon Festival - before potentially returning to North America, as Erian teases in the facebook post:

Despised Icon reunion!

"It’s been over 3 years already since we played our last shows and long story short, we genuinely miss it. After a few talks and a couple of beers, we decided to get back together temporarily to play a handful of shows. We’re excited to announce that we’ll be returning to Europe in April on the Impericon Festivals in Vienna, Manchester and Cologne. To our friends in Canada and the US, we’ll have some good news for you as well in a few weeks. Thanks for sticking around with us after all these years. Can’t wait to see you all and crush the stage, one more time. Keep it brutal,

All in all this gives me hope that maybe bands supposedly 'gone forever' might make an appearance again someday. Now, how long do I have to wait for an Altar of Plagues reunion?
